Website to help Violinists and Parents of Violinists

This is a website geared towards helping answer very specific questions you may have as a violinist (new or professional). This site is designed to bring together all violinists. From professional performers to teachers and students. If you are curious about anything violin related this is the perfect resource, especially if you have a specific question. For example, " I can't seem to get my child to practice- what should I  do?" To questions like, "How should I prepare for a recital?" Or "What kind of strings should I buy?"

Rental Violins Available

For those of you needing a nice quality violin for a decent price- please see me for rental availability.

Right now I have a 3/4 size violin and a 1/2 size violin (both made in Germany and are older instruments with a nice sound). I am looking for some smaller instruments as well and should have more sizes by the middle of September.

Violin Group Lessons at B Street Music

Last Fall, Ashley Devine and I started teaching group lessons. Now that we have more children that are at similar levels we would like to offer group lessons once more. In groups, children not only benefit from playing together, they get to socialize with their peers, make good friends, and have more opportunities to preform. If we can get a minimum of 4 children for each group class- it's a go! Start talking to your friends too!


Rate: $20 per group (payable at the beginning of each month)
Location: B Street Music - or Suzanne's Apartment (if it's raining)


Level: "Pre-Twinklers"
Ages: 2-5
Experience with the violin: Brand new- 3 years (Have not yet gone through Book 1 songs)
Focuses on games, rhythms, and solid foundation. Parents need to be present.

Level: "Little Fiddlers"
Experience: Suzuki Book 1 or less than 2 years of instruction
Ages: 5-8


Level: "Book 2 Class"
Experience: Passed Book 1
Solid playing for at least one year.
Ages: 7-12


We are thinking Sundays afternoon for the group lessons... starting at 3:45pm
